It's a song about me ....

Look how good we are getting at our song!  We are working hard on our Sign Language this week for Sign Language Week

Mrs B is super proud of us!  We have started to notice certain words that are the same in all of our songs and we are using them in our everyday sentences around the room when we are talking!

ROOM 9  IS FANTASTIC!!!

Lest we forget

Last week we held our school ANZAC ceremony.

After the ceremony Room 9 came back to class and wrote about what happened.  Then we recorded our stories as a way of telling our oral history.

Our ANZAC song.

Room 9 have been talking about ANZAC day.  We have also been learning a new song about soldiers.  We are not just learning the words ... we are also learning it in sign language!

Carter:  Our song is cool! I like doing the sign language
Haylem:  Our song is cool because boys like soldiers
Jack: It is cool because they gave him a gun.
Izzy:  I like doing the sign language and everyone tried
Zae:  I like it because it is fun and we get to do the sign language

We are doing a song about War because we talked about it in class.  We talked about it because it was nearly ANZAC day.

I submitted a picture of our art to The New Zealand Herald (a big newspaper) to show how Room 9 remembered ANZAC day!!  They put out photo online!!!

Poppy Art to start the term :) ... We will be doing 4 pictures and displaying them beautifully.

These ones are not finished yet but fingers crossed all four will be by Friday in time for Anzac.
